Terms and Refunds
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. What Lab 8 is
Lab 8 is a BaZi chart and Chinese culture site for entertainment, run by an individual in Canada. Its content follows traditional BaZi rules and is for reflection and fun only. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice; for important decisions, please consult a qualified professional.
2. What is free
The chart, Day Master cards, Day Pillar reading, daily reading, the Ten Stems, Classics Class, the games and the Koi Pond are all free with no account. The yearly report has a free preview.
3. The yearly report (paid)
The 2027 yearly report is digital content bought once. It is not a subscription and never renews. The price is shown in US dollars on the purchase page; sales tax for your location is added at checkout. The full report opens on the site as soon as you pay: on the account you bought it with, you can come back any time, read it for family members' charts too, and save it as a PDF.
Payment is collected by Stripe, which acts as the seller for the transaction, processes the payment and handles sales tax. Your card details are held by Stripe; we never see them.
4. How the report is made
The report is assembled by a program from pre-written text, using traditional BaZi rules (the Ten Gods, combinations and clashes, luck pillars and years). No AI is used, and the same chart always shows the same report. If the birth time or place is wrong, the result will be too.
5. Refunds
If the report does not open, you were charged twice, or anything else goes wrong technically, you get a full refund. Within 14 days of buying, you can also ask for a full refund if you feel the report was not worth it, with no reason needed, once per account. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually reach your bank in 5 to 10 business days.
6. Your account
Sign-in uses your Google account. You can delete saved charts at any time; to delete your whole account, email us and we will do it within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Content and copyright
The card art, reports and site text belong to Lab 8. You are welcome to share screenshots and links personally; please ask before any commercial use.
8. Changes and contact
When these terms change, the date above changes; reports already bought are not affected. Questions: [email protected]
